The
following organizations representing nuclear medicine professionals in Canada
have recognized the need to unite so that their common interests might be
effectively represented across the nation. Furthermore, these organizations have
agreed to the following principles:
- UNITY
We shall share a vision of promoting the practice of diagnostic and therapeutic
nuclear medicine in Canada and ensuring excellence in all areas of that
practice. On issues of concern to nuclear medicine professionals we shall
develop and promote a common position.
- REPRESENTATION
We shall ensure that the CSNM represents the collective and individual interests
of the founding organizations and of their members. In particular, in the
selection of Board members, care will be taken to ensure that the various
professions and regions are represented.
- RESPECT
Unity need not necessarily be uniformity. We will ensure that the founding
organizations understand each other's respective positions. The lines of
communication must be kept open and strong.
